Introduction
SafeGuard is an anticheat and security platform for FiveM servers. Its checks run on your server, where cheats cannot reach, and every decision is scored, explained and backed by evidence.
How it works
Cheat menus (Eulen, Skript, Lua menus executed through them and others) run inside the player's game. Anything on the player's computer can be faked, so SafeGuard treats the game client as untrusted and decides from what the server can verify:
- Movement: teleport, speed, noclip, flying, super jump, invisibility, freecam.
- Combat: impossible angles, aim snaps, headshot ratio, hits without line of sight, range, many players hit at once, damage with a weapon not in hand.
- Weapons and player state: blocked weapons, damage modifiers, godmode, health and armour above the maximum.
- Entities and explosions: mass spawns, blocked models, remote, invisible or spammed explosions.
- Events: the EventShield firewall, honeypots and traps for the "exploits" menus fire.
- Economy: unusual gains of money and items.
Each detection adds points to a per-player risk that decays over time. A single detection never bans anyone: punishments depend on the accumulated risk and on the rules you set.
License and SafeGuard Cloud
- A license is required: without a valid key SafeGuard does not protect and the server shuts down 10 seconds after starting.
- `config.lua` stays available for settings on the server itself (bans, the evidence log and Discord alerts work there too).
- With SafeGuard Cloud: the server connects to the dashboard: live players, spectate and screenshots, history across servers, rules edited in the browser, bans with an appeal page and your staff team with permissions.
If the cloud becomes unreachable, protection carries on on the server and syncs when it is back.
Next steps
- Installation: get the resource running on your server.
- Dashboard: create the organization and the license, and connect the server.
- Configuration: fit detections and punishments to your server.
